🐾 Stay Warm and Dry on Outdoor Adventures with RUFFWEAR's Cloud Chaser Jacket for Dogs Review

Nice jacket! Our Vizsla is picky about clothes, but she loves how it keeps you warm! She is 3 years old, about 43-45 lbs, chest 27 inches, medium size fits her. The sleeves on the front legs are a little tight and can be uncomfortable as a previous Vizsla owner pointed out, but we love this product and will be adjusting the costume a bit for our princess :)

Good materials and workmanship, lightweight and breathable but designed for colder weather, which it's somewhat lacking. The built in loop for the Ruffwear Beacon is thoughtlessly placed. If your dog pulls, he'll jump out of the loop, although I'm not sure if that's more of a design flaw in the jacket or the beacon. A quality product but a bit pricey for what it is.

We have an active dog that loves to run in the woods. When he first used it, he punched a hole in the soft fleece side material. I quickly switched to a heavier coat. This is great for leisurely walks or other gentle activities that don't involve sticks, rocks, other dogs, etc. It makes it a little more challenging.

This is a really water repellent coat but I wish it had a little more fleece for warmth. Red sockeye is a great color when you want your dog to stand out. Washes off well. I'm really looking for a waterproof warm winter coat so that doesn't quite fit the bill. The product itself is of good quality. Durable materials, easy zipper, well stitched, feels slightly smaller than my same size fleece jacket. My dog has no undercoat so I'll be looking for a warmer alternative.

I bought my first Cloud Chaser over 3 years ago so my big dog could go hiking with me. It did a great job protecting it from the mud and rain during our rainy trips to the Northwest. I recently ordered one for my dachshund and it fits perfectly too. It covers his back and stomach, and the sleeves don't reach his short legs. I have a 15lb Hawaiian jacket and ordered a very small jacket that fits perfectly. The jacket protects against rain and snow when walking in bad weather. His belly still gets wet when we play in the snow because the bottom isn't waterproof. The bottom of the jacket is made of stretch fleece for a great fit.
