A little heavy for fitting to a Cherokee but not too bad considering the entire bumper has to be removed and disassembled for fitting. They are nice and heavy and look great

Thickness 3/16" not 1/4". Big differences in power between them. The statement "Device on" is half true. If you want to install tow hooks on the bracket is your kit. If you want to install a bracket on your Jeep, go to the hardware store to get longer than standard bumper bolts. How difficult is it to advertise properly? item returned.

they are great. fits well. some easy installation - the original screws are not long enough to go through the extra thickness. keep this in mind when installing. They are heavy and fit my 2000 XJ without having to cut anything. It keeps the original look I want but gives me the confidence to restore it if needed. definitely the right mod for the jeep!

Well stitched with clean welds, the powder coating has a good finish and looks thick. A bolt hole on each required part opened up about 1/8 inch to fit my old battered, battered and crooked Cherokee. (Probably NOT the manufacturer's fault, my old rig was way off the road and the unibody is notorious for flexing) I would recommend these kits to anyone who owns a Cherokee.

Good product. My only complaint is all the necessary hardware from the store. I knew of the 6 screws I needed to replace the original ones. I also had to purchase a bolt that could be tightened on either side due to backlash issues on the alternator side. The kit includes 2 bolts that are rounded on one end and can only be tightened with an internal nut. On my 4.0 88 xj I had almost no room for a wrench or ratchet. I bought these for my 01 XJ and have had a few problems. Like others, I had issues with the original hardware not being long enough, but a quick trip to the hardware store didn't fix anything. My other issue was that one of the hooks sent to me didn't fit the bracket that came with it. When you buy an expensive putative "kit", it's annoying that you have to go to a hardware store to finish the installation. It's important that you buy six M10, 1.5x30, 8.8 bolts and washers as the standard bolts are definitely not long enough, so why isn't this required hardware included...? I also bought four M10 locknuts and washers as I don't think the standard front jam nuts would handle a potentially high load. I also used blue Loctite on everything.
