Convenient and Durable: Rugged Ridge 13551.09 Black CB Radio Dash Mount Review

Bracket didn't quite fit when I first tried to install it. The top panel was about an inch longer than the instrument panel. I ended up having to make two bends to pull the top panel towards the door. The attached picture shows where I had to make the bends. After that it fits great. The mounts aren't the strongest, so you'll need to use the included sponge pads for extra support.

This product is well assembled and has a good powder coat finish but that's the end of the good stuff and I ended up sending it back. Does not fit the dashboard well and may damage the dashboard if rubbed. I think it might work for people who have no craft skills and don't mind having an accessory that doesn't fit well, twirl and go. I ended up making my own to actually match the slope of the dash and not chafe the dash. I wouldn't buy again and wouldn't recommend either.

Very thick and heavy. It might be a bit of an overstatement, but it still works with a few tweaks. Before purchasing this mount I looked at all the possible places for the CB radio in my jeep and it always looked like it would end up in my place. To drill a hole. This product is for those who absolutely hate drilling holes in their jeep. It uses existing screws to attach the bracket and will generally not damage your Jeep. Installed with the Uniden PRO520XL CB radio. Absolutely no problem installing between the door/dash/windshield and no problem installing the 520 in the space provided (the 520 bracket fits directly into this bracket). This is one of the easiest setups (CB Full Setup) I've done on my 03 TJ. This kit also came with a handheld CB mic mount (not actually listed) that fits between the steering column and the radio/center console.
