Love it. This makes it easier to drain and check the oil. The part is cast iron. Unbeatable for street use. I don't know if it can handle off-road rocks. we have to see. However, we are looking for a second front differential.

Perfect fit and great look on my Dana 44 Wrangler in the back, now I need one for the front. The capacity is approx. 2 liters and the "dipstick" function makes refilling easier. I recommend using a real gasket, not the Jeep recommended RTV, to get a true one-piece bulletproof gasket. RTV is flexible (low cost) and allows for movement. In my experience, a good quality gasket that is torqued to specification on clean, dry surfaces is much more durable and reliable.

I was looking for an inexpensive differential cover that had a dipstick and drain plug on the underside of the cover (on some the drain plug is 1" from the bottom making it difficult to see the entire drain old fluid). My filler plug on the factory cap was stuck and I hate breaking the seal at the bottom which causes gear oil to spill down my arm. To that end, the Rugged Ridge case did the job I needed.
