Be Careful When Installing

I really wanted to replace the stock silver antenna with this newer black antenna, but since I was installing the screw adapters they give you to match your Jeep year I didn't want to. So I replaced it with another one, but again it didn't screw into the base of the antenna. Thinking I was doing something wrong, I replaced the grub screw with another one again. Again the antenna installation didn't go well so now I have a damaged antenna when I tried to tighten the new antenna with pliers soโ€ฆ

The antenna repeatedly bangs against the window jamb at highway speed.

I usually install 13" antennas on my Jeep TJ Wrangler. I went with the 15" hoping for better reception. The reception was about the same +-, but as I happened to be driving at high speed on the freeway, I heard a loud rattle coming from the front of the jeep. I stopped immediately to find out why but didn't find anything out of the ordinary.I drove a little further until the noise returned.On closer inspection I found the antenna was relentlessly banging against the window jamb.Unfortunately Iโ€ฆ

My mistake is to send back the antenna so you can close the file. the reason is described below.

Dear Sir, I returned the item to Kolya and spoke to the store manager who was very polite. Just close this file because it was my fault. I sent the antenna back because the jeep accident destroyed the spot on the side where the antenna should have been. I returned the item to Kol in Crestwood, Missouri, but was unable to provide a return code. I tipped 5 and said I'd call back from home in 15 minutes and give them the number. Everything happens in life, so there is no reason to strive for itโ€ฆ
