They send you the next size up than you order because they claim the shorts run small (e.g. if you order a medium size you will receive the shorts with a tag saying they are large and how does a large fit.) I usually wear medium. To get the middle one, I had to order the small one. I don't think they realize they sell compression shorts and not underwear.

I bought them because the basketball shorts I wear the pockets are too small. My cell phone falls out of my pocket as soon as I sit down. They have a better bag, the phone doesn't fall out when I'm sitting on the sofa or in the car. There are exercises where it just slips out, I almost think I'd love a pair of overlapping tops in my bag.

*Update* Bought the exact same set for my second child who is now also in the group. Both my boys find them handy for the pocket when changing uniforms and also for those occasions when uniformed don't have a pocket for their phone or cash for discounts. I highly recommend them! Bought them for my son who needs them for the band. They're a bit loose at the bottom of the leg, but he hasn't grown yet, so they'll last him a long time. Exactly what I expected. The fit isn't super cool, but for making clothes, the basis for evaluating "fit" is patchy unless it's really bad.
