works as described, good product

good product works as intended and described. I use it to filter sewer water behind my house for irrigation to keep sprinkler heads from clogging. It washes off easily

exact replacement part. works well.

Since nobody wants to give exact measurements, here they are: Tube: 10-1/4" long. 2-1/4" ID, 2-5/8" OD. Filter: 8-1 /8" long, 1-5/8" OD, 1-1/4" ID. Valve: not measured. It consists of 3 separate parts. The valve must be unscrewed.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Blank

Good replacement!: Replacement water filter

I had to replace the old one. Easy installation but required some tools to attach the drain hose. I've only had it running for about a month and the plastic is discoloring or scratching or both as the plastic fogs up. I have very hard water with iron. But it seems to be doing its job.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Not bad

Ideal to replace water filter

We have been using this filter for about 15 years. Ours broke when my husband used too much force and turned the valve the wrong way. I was happy to find the same one to replace the part we needed. That works great. It collects a lot of sediment. Better to clean regularly. You will find that too much time has passed when you lose water pressure.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Good filter but expensive

These filters seem to have had a few different names and the price seems to vary a bit too. The filter is great for removing sand and larger debris from the water, which is especially useful before moving to a more expensive sump or carbon filter. Rusco seems to charge more for this than other similar filters.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • No power

The filter and block work as described but not what I need.

I have installed units at a rainwater harvesting system. One for each 3000 gallon tank. Water is collected and pumped into tanks. The problem is the garbage that comes out of the cesspools. The first day I had a salamander stuck in the pens. I have small stones getting stuck in the intakes all the time. This leads to an increase in pressure in the lines and/or overheating of the pumps. In front of this filter I will install a garbage filter. Fingers crossed.

Pros
  • tools and supplies
Cons
  • weak

Better than Home Depo-Cheapo

I had a similar filter that I bought from Home Depot for my lawn watering system. Unfortunately it was leaking so I replaced it with this one. This filter is MUCH better; It has a large filter screen area and larger (1Β½ inch) connections and it won't leak! I would rate it 5 stars if there were any recommendations on what cell size to buy for different applications. Very frustrating as there are instructions on the side of the box! For those of you who need it, here it is.

Pros
  • Replacement Sink Water Filter
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Great for well water

These rotary water filters are ideal for any well fed water system. I use two in a row, 140 mesh and then 250 mesh, and they filter out most of the visible sediment. This greatly increases the life of my downstream filters and water jugs. I keep an extra screen handy and change it out once a month for a thorough cleaning, then I wash it out once a week. I just run the filters through the top rack of the dishwasher.

Pros
  • Water filtration and softener
Cons
  • No capacity
