The new version is better but uses a different battery.

There is a newer version of this drill that seems to be an improvement but uses a different battery. When mine stopped working I ordered the same model for about $30 which is about as cheap as it gets. I didn't have to buy a new drill and battery.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Lightweight drill ideal for technical work

Nice little drill, I use it every day for work. Its light and compact is perfect for what I do. The battery lasts all week, I always keep an extra charged. 12V is great for screws, but it's a bit slow for real drilling with drill bits. I keep an 18 volt Ryobi drill handy for this job.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

At best, you can get a good flashlight for the garage.

I don't know what project this could be used for other than as a toy for kids. It cannot pierce anything even if you adjust the settings. It's even more fun with the Ryobi drills that you can buy additionally. They will chip off in your project or break when you take them out of the box. Screwdriver bits also wear down to the tips, rendering them useless the first time they are used. I bought this to replace my old Ryobi 12v drill and I am very disappointed. It does nothing but reminds me how…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
