it works but gets too hot to notice

Connect your gaming laptop to an 8K capable Samsung TV via the HDMI port, it flashes at 8K-60 as expected by its specification. Plug and Play, BUT: 1. Try to play HDCP content, it stops working; 2. Working after 10 minutes, very hot; 3. it becomes visibly hot, touch it gently; can be burned; If it gets hot, stop using it.

Does not work on 8K with iMac 2020 / Samsung Q900b

I bought this in the optimistic hope that it would run on my 2020 27" iMac with AMD Radeon Pro 5700 8GB for Samsung 55 Q900b at 8K resolution. The maximum settings allowed were 3840 x 2160 HDR, 8K was not shown as an option. The same HDMI cable/port for a PC with an Nvidia 3XXX card works at 8K, so I know it's not an HDMI cable/port/Q900b.HP Specter. Laptop - maximum resolution 4K HDR. If you get 8K with this adapter, please post your settings.

High quality but small stock in Europe

Works well, I've had some issues but nothing to worry about. Revain partially refunded my money. (Gift Cards) I paid $105 but received $30 in gift cards from Amazon. Because customs and all instead of just paying $30 I paid $105. But okay, in Europe it costs 60 euros, so I'm not too disappointed. Works great but gets very hot. I used the RTX 2000 series and USB-C, 3m cable direct HDMI 2.1 cable and Samsung QLED Q950TS 65โ€ณ. 8k, works great, Minecraft 8k 60fps I had some issues but nothing toโ€ฆ

Suitable for 4k120 for computer accessories and peripherals

I am using this adapter to convert Thunderbolt to 4k120 for my LG TV. It works great. 4K120, HDR10, 10BPC according to my Nvidia Control Panel. This is also after routing it over the 15m Thunderbolt cable and through the Anker Thunderbolt Dock. It's getting really HOT! how very hot. I had a couple of stuck heatsinks when water cooling the graphics card without a full coverage unit. I glued several heatsinks on it just to remove heat from the body of the device. After a few days of use, Iโ€ฆ

Just buy a card with HDMI 2.1 output

Well it works and will give you 4K/120. time especially in dark places. And the center of the screen looks like two screens are connected and not aligned. And the device is HOT for some reason. Maybe it's a cable fault. But why is the cable car over 60? It's a cable, it's either connected or not. So I think it's because of this device. I do not recommend. I know the GPU situation is bad but just hold your money until you buy a 30XX or higher card.
