The read/write speed is unstable, I tested it on an external device and ran it on a MacBook Pro. It shows around 1000 MB/s in the first round and then around 400 MB/s each time. Then I installed it in my Dell G5 5500 and then tested it with the Linux hdparm command. Sometimes the read speed is 1500MB/s, sometimes 2000MB/s. This is not the worst case. I am copying some files from another NvMe driver around 300GB and the copying stops for a while because this SSD is not recognized. It seemsโ€ฆ

SSD health dropped by 1% after one month!

I had another Sabrent Rocket SSD which was up 55% after one year. I was afraid of losing data, so I bought this "modern" one. Oh my surprise! After a month of installation and less use, it's already failing. I thought being an American company producing in China was a little better in quality than just a Chinese company: an illusion! My Samsung EVO has been fully functional for over a year and a half and its health is still 100%.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long delivery time

More value from a PCIe Gen 4 system than you can shake.

Fits easily into my AMD motherboard (as if it wouldn't. M.2 rules) - and instant data flow. A maximum of four gigabytes of data per second. More I/O transactions per second than necessary. All in all a win. I build embedded Linux distributions and develop games, so I need terrible storage space on a beast mode machine. It made it possible. There's a tier up, so you know, it's almost twice as fast, but it didn't make sense for the extra $250. You need storage speed. And you need A LOT? This isโ€ฆ

Works like a charm - weird stats

Received on time, pasted, copied data in and working perfectly. Strange: after copying all the data to it (had to do it twice, which was about 6T records) the CrystalDiskInfo tool said the health is 96%, which suggests a pretty sharp drop? Even more puzzling is that the tool claims the drive was powered on 1677 times. This would mean that I've been powering the drive off and on every 10 minutes since I've had it. It doesn't make any sense at all. The packaging was intact (all the usual stickers

Ultra-fast and reliable NVMe

You can't beat this with 4TB QLC PCIe Gen 4.0x4 NVMe. I use this M.2 form factor for super fast Filecoin sealing and I couldn't wait for the new 4TB drives to come out. I bought a new motherboard that has room for up to five M.2 Gen 4 PCIe drives. I've continued to use Sabrent as they've grown from 500GB to 1TB and 2TB, each still works great and Sabrent offer an amazing 5 year warranty on their products. Compare them to enterprise SSDs, which are much more expensive and don't have the sameโ€ฆ
