🔌 Sabrent 6-Foot USB to RS-232 DB9 Serial 9-Pin Adapter for Prolific PL2303 (Model: SBT-USC6K) Review

My new laptop runs Windows 10 and has multiple USB ports. I have a DB-9 port but no clear access to it. Using the vendor's software and the USB port, I was able to automatically connect to the vendor's device and the software found the USB port and automatically loaded it into the vendor's program. The cable works the way I wanted it to and I am very happy with it.

This item was required to communicate with an old Windows XP laptop running proprietary Split Second R4 software. Saber 6ft. USB --> Dedicated RS-232 cable to communicate with the ECU to set up the 7th aftermarket injector. An Eaton M62 supercharger fitted to a Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L. Works like a charm and don't forget to remember the port number after installing the driver for this high quality cable. .Recommended for all USB RS-232 communication needs!

This product was a little problematic without documentation, but I've worked with serial communications enough to not worry. However, without the data connection tester, I was unable to connect the Mafta Automotive Performance Tuner. But the problem may be in the docking station. In general, the product worked as described, provided the self-test was correct. I'll be hooking up an old VT-100 terminal to make sure it works, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this vendor again.

This USB to serial adapter cable was purchased to factory reset several used Linksys POE network switches . I bought these items at auction and the password is unknown so it needs to be reset. Works perfectly. Plug and play with Windows 10. Hassle-free driver and software installation.
