Made of good material

Used to protect the sae fittings on my boat. Doing their job well. Made of good material. I have one fitting without and I can tell the difference. Wish I could order just one.

Pros
  • Works just as advertised. Would be better if the strap was a little thicker.
Cons
  • The covers may discolor over time and become unsightly

Just What we Needed

You get tired of driving from place to place looking for an item, wasting time and gas. these were just what we needed. That's my review!

Pros
  • It works all that matters. Time will tell how long they last.
Cons
  • The covers may not be durable enough to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions

Weather cap in my review

I needed this cap to control corrosion in Hawaiiโ€™s warm humid acidic environment. The retainer keeps it attached to my cable. I use a small amount of dielectric grease on the contacts, and the cap prevents contamination.

Pros
  • Used for boat solar charger
Cons
  • The covers may be too difficult to remove, making it a hassle to use your equipment

good replacements on my review.

In the winter the plastic tethers tend to snap in the cold, so these are great when you loose the originals. The covers may be expensive for the quantity and quality received.

Pros
  • The plug caps worked very well . They were a tight fit but that's what I was hoping for .
Cons
  • The covers may be expensive for the quantity and quality received

Tethering weather cap to SAE wire

Use a 12mm/.47" split ring available in craft stores like Michael's or from a fishing supply store.Thread the SAE wire through the split ring followed by the farthest loop.

Pros
  • What else is there to say? They fit perfectly over SAE plugs
Cons
  • Needed to drill/file out to fit

Fit all my connectors well, good construction

Didn't find any problem with these as others have stated. Well constructed pliable rubber. Fit all the SAE connectors I have from Battery Tender and more. You can make a loop with these to put on wires that have a cap that broke off, I usually use a super small tie strap or just use electrical tape to tape the two loop end to the wire, seems to work fine.

Pros
  • Sturdy caps but very thick which makes them harder to get on and off.
Cons
  • The covers may be too flimsy and break easily, rendering them useless

They Work But. for my opinion

They work but unless you are cutting the cord to install them you need a tie wrap or another way of fastening then to the cord

Pros
  • work well to keep dirt out of plug
Cons
  • The covers may fall off easily, leaving your equipment unprotected

They fit, but poor tether design

These fit the typical SAE 2 pin 12V connectors. However, there are two big flaws:1) you can't thread the wire through the little rings at the end unless you cut the connector off the wire. You are stuck with zip-tying them on or coming up with some other method (and the zip tie will eventually break the rings in the cheap rubber)2) Assuming you figure out a solution to the above, the tethers are cheap and weak (and break especially easy in cold weather). This is the same problem I had with theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Exact fit and was a great repair on my motorcycle where the original one got charred by the exhaust
Cons
  • The covers may be difficult to replace, requiring professionals to install them

Durable Waterproof Caps Ensure Electrical Safety

As a result of my tests, I determined that these waterproof caps are essential for any outdoor electrical connections to prevent contact with water or debris. The caps seal tight and stay securely in place, keeping electrical components safe and functional. The only downside was that they were a little tricky to install at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. Overall, I highly recommend these waterproof caps for anyone looking to ensure the longevity and safety of theirโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Reusable and durable cover caps provide excellent weather protection for 2 pin plugs.
Cons
  • Cover caps may not fit all styles of 2 pin plugs, limiting versatility.

work with holes were bigger

good to have back up plugs if you loose them, i used a small zip to attache better, cuz i tried to stretch, and brokegood price for some backups

Pros
  • The caps fit great. Just what needed.
Cons
  • The covers may not fit securely, allowing moisture to still seep through and damage your electronics

They work, right SAE size, no way to attach to existing cord

These caps break, get lost, and therefore donโ€™t last as long as the cable theyโ€™re protecting. These caps do their intended job, though I question how waterproof they might be. The issue is that there is no way to connect them so they remain attached the the cable. The two holes in the tail of these caps are far too small for the SAE fitting to go through them, and the cap itself cannot either, so no way to secure the caps.

Pros
  • Perfect tight fit for the snap plugs.
Cons
  • The covers may only work for specific types of plugs, limiting their compatibility
