🏞️ Safavieh Padding Collection Cream Area Rug, 6ft x 9ft (6x9) Review

Ordered an 8x10 Safavieh rug and also ordered this filling. It's bigger than the carpet itself which was a big plus. It is now easier to lay the rug directly onto this backing than simply cutting off the overlap. Also shipped quickly.

Holds the mat in place but the size of the pillow I bought was quite large. I bought an 8ft 10ft rug and the padding that came with it to fit the size of the rug. I found the pad was too big. We had to fold each side inward so it wasn't visible. Moral of the story: buy a smaller pad!

this mat should prevent the mat from slipping. Trying to hold it in place when installing a 9" x 12" rug was a nightmare and now it's not entirely flat under the rug but is bunched up in a few places and we can't even out it. If we could get it we would send it back but there is no easy way to extract it. I regret this purchase.

This pad is great if you want to keep your rug from slipping. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer any "add-ons". I ordered a strong pad to put under another rug and regretted not ordering it for my 11' x 11'. It just doesn't improve the feel of the carpet's quality much. My allergy sufferers are very sensitive to odors, but that didn't bother me after a few hours of airing.

This material is very volatile and will transfer to other materials. We placed the rug on the shelf and bench and it transferred small dots to those surfaces. We then used it under the carpet on our doorstep and it transferred the same little dots onto the stone. I would not trust this rug in your home unless you agree it will cause damage. The only surface where this isn't a problem is our hardwood, but when it touches tile, stone or painted materials it transfers.
