Works perfectly. new idea

I used a regular bicycle pump to inflate. I would recommend running the bike pump slowly as I had trouble holding pressure with this plug when trying to pump it quickly. Great for blocking the 2" PVC pipes in my pool so I can work on the valves. It also worked well to unplug a 1-1/2 inch shower drain so I could test my new drip tray for leaks.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

Ideal for checking shower trays

I have just installed a lock ring drain and needed to test my shower tray for water tightness. I installed this device in the sewer, pumped it up in a second and poured water into the sewer. I had another job and forgot about it for a week and when I came back the water was still right where I put it. This product is great for testing 2 inch shower drains.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Just what you need to test your shower tray

Something as simple as checking a shower tray liner can be a pain. The traditional plugs you find at Home Depot will not work with a clamp-on shower drain. It worked great. Lower it down the pipe a little, apply pressure through the shredder valve. Deflate when finished. Not sure why the big stores don't sell, but it worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Cool when you need it.

I've used them for a few jobs and found that they actually work better than the competition and are cheaper to download. I bought about 5 of these to have as add-ons for large pools with 7+ returns and I started using them, basically keeping my original backups. They seal better than others I have and it seems like the bladder will be more durable.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Easy to use and does the job!

This product (GT Water Products, Inc. TP122 Safe-T-Seal Test Plug, fits 1 1/4" to 2" pipe) sealed my 2" drain perfectly. Checking for leaks my new grouted shower tray. It is very easy to use: just stick it in the drain and pump it up. I used a manual bike pump and it worked well. was successful so this product seemed to seal the drain well. Block is lighter.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Works perfectly. Duty to test Shower tray

Works as it should. As others have said, it's not found in big stores, but it's essential if you need to check your shower tray for leaks like I do. As for checking, where it bursts and "might mess up your tubes and hurt you," that's what happens when you inflate it outside the tube. Same principle if you inflate a bicycle tire tube from the outside of the tire. Without an external restraint (pipe) it will not reach pressure without buckling and bursting. Only a small amount of air was needed…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
