My daughter is 1.5 years old and was spotted from my balcony one day. She undressed, and then I tied the ropes so she wouldn't peek out. then I saw it. It's worth the money, but it's boring. looks good as my girl won't get hurt. But it only covers one side as shown in the picture. This product works great but should be used on railings not stairs. Can be used for stairs but you will need some support as the stairs are diagonal not straight. The attachment is not enough to hold the fence, so you will need to tie a rope to the railing to ensure the fence cannot be pulled down by a small child. The thread is too short, so you have to knit several together.

Served its purpose. We rented a space on the beach with a balcony and we needed something to protect the two toddlers in our group. We never left them alone on the balcony, but this net gave us an extra layer of security. It was pretty easy to install. Served our purpose but it was only a few days. I have no idea how great that would be in the long run. And as a side note, this would slow the tumbling, but not stop it entirely.

I bought this for a friend. She lives in an apartment with a balcony on the second floor and releases her cats there but is always afraid that they might fall off. I use this to prevent my child from throwing toys or objects into a gapped rail. It is ideal to lay the mesh material and align it with the stair railing as well as the hallway railing. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit heavy as my rail was bigger than the zip ties that came with it. I had to double the tie rod to fit the larger rods. I would also say the material is light and a bit flimsy than I wanted, but does the job of keeping things from falling.

I don't like writing bad reviews unless they're really offended, but this is some pretty freaky stuff. I hope we can all agree that no matter what safety barriers and things we erect, we still need to keep a close eye on our children. This is an offer. Time? A moment of containment? Yes. But remember that your child can and most likely will tear it in places. I bought this because I live on the 2nd floor and have a balcony in my apartment. There are railings where my cat is skinny enough to walk over and a bit above so she can walk through to get onto the walkway. It had fallen off before and I didn't want it to happen again. I covered the whole balcony with it. I used zipties to hold them. The material is ok. It's like a mesh/mesh material, so it has little holes in it. My cat was smart enough to figure out that she could use the holes to climb up.
