This product is ideal for preventing young children from unplugging and plugging in again. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I really wish it was a bit wider so it could be used for items. that should be on the side, like the adapter in my picture.

I love this socket cover! My 8 month old baby can't take his little crawling arms off of anything. This solved some serious problems. I like that you have to press the top and bottom buttons at the same time to open it. We routed the cable covers through the bottom hole so our little one couldn't pull on the cables at all. The bot is a little bulky, but that's to be expected as it should have room for the cable when plugged in. We will be buying more of these devices soon.

Just installed today, just what I need! I chose this particular model because the plug on my extension cord enters the socket at an angle and the hole for the cord is slightly to the right (see photo). It's still a little handy when plugged into the bottom outlet, but perfect for the top one. The child tried several times to open it without success. Expensive but worth it!
