Best blade I've found for everyday wet shaving

First of all, these baddies are instantly SHARP. Only my razor is sharper, which needs to be sharpened before each use. I shave both my face and head and that's the equivalent of shaving twice a day. For me, shaving is 30 minutes of personal time. I have used the Astra and Derby Premium and while both are great blades these are the BEST yet. I've been wet shaving since I was 15 (I'm 63 now) and it's always been a quest for good blades. I look at the sharpness and also at the duration. I've been

The close shave I was looking for.

I have been using double edged razors for several years and have never been able to get as close as I would like, even stretching my skin with my free hand. I usually buy my blades in bulk so I reorder one every year and sometimes every 2 years. Ordering again this time I found good discounts on these 100 blade Parker blades. My first shave was comfortable, as close as I wanted it to be. be without theft. I have now 8 days on the same wood and it still doesn't feel boring. In the meantime, I…

New in Shaving DA: Shaving and Hair Removal

I ordered an Edwin Jagger with 100 Parker Blades. Edwin Jagger actually came with a Feather razor, but I decided to try the Parkers first. The first shave was pretty rough as I have very sensitive skin that tends to get bumps on my neck. I thought maybe I just had to break the blade in. The second was just as bad, so I threw it away and tried a new third razor blade. After wiping my face over and over again for the third time, I thought I was done with da razors. Then I put the pen in my pocket

Hard but uncomfortable.

Blades are sharp. Not as sharp as the Feather, but ok for the price. I use one blade per shave so I can't comment on its durability. My main issue with these blades is the packaging. Each 5 blades are packaged in a plastic case with 2 very small openings through which the blades can be pulled out. The first blade usually slides out easily. The next three give you a 50/50 chance of getting them. The latter has separation anxiety, and if you don't tear open the wrapper, the child will stay there.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Empty
