🧪 Salifert Calcium (Ca) Test Kit - 50-100 Testing Range Review

The Salifert calcium test is very easy to use and gives accurate readings every time. I use Salifert Magnesium as well as alkalinity tests. All provide good and accurate readings.

I ordered this test kit about a month ago and just opened it today with about 4 other tests in my old bottle and found the CA-2 bottle missing. Now I have to order a new one as these are pretty much useless. *Edit* I didn't see that this was a new test kit with the CA-2 bottle removed, now it just contains powder and reagent.

As always, Salifert test systems are easy to use, accurate and the results easy to read. I'm deducting 1 star because the box was dented, which isn't too bad, but the test beast was cracked through and through from top to bottom. I was able to secure it with thin super glue. It seemed a lot easier to fix than asking for a refund for an exchange. However, I prefer that the things I buy new don't need to be repaired.

I used this to determine the calcium level in my tap water so I can use it for plants. I need to know the levels in order to adjust my nutrient levels accordingly. The test was easy to use and accurate. I tested my tap water and compared it to rainwater that had 100ppm calcium nitrate added. My purified water readings were exactly what I expected. I just received iron test strips from another company and they didn't work at all. So I was worried but this test works great. 5 Stars.

Excellent, like most Salifert reviews in my experience (don't remember trying their copper; for that I use the Hanna High Range Kit that comes with salt water works ).
