My 10 year old has enjoyed these shoes at least 4-8 miles each time on both of our hikes. No complaints except that she wanted the boots to keep gravel, small rocks or sand off her shoes, other than that it's worth every penny. FYI we bought size 4 (corresponds to the size with space for thicker socks), good support and very light. She has also used the shoe for running in the park and biking the trails.

Bought these shoes for my 9 year old cross country runner. These shoes are great. She loves running cross country in it and wears it on easy hikes. I don't have to worry about my shoes coming undone

My son loves these shoes. They have a tie that tucks into the tongue of the shoe so he just pushes it down to tighten and tuck it in. He used to tuck his laces on the side of his shoes, but he's much more comfortable that way. He really loves her.
