Reissued Shoes: Men's

Let me start by saying I'm a huge Hoka fan but decided to try this Salomon shoe for a number of reasons. Normally Salomon runs VERY narrow and this model doesn't, plus Salomon is the godfather of trail running so he wanted to see what it was all about. I'll tell you that after an easy 5 mile test I thought I'd give them a real test. A 20 mile trail with creek crossings, mud, climbs, wet rocks, sloppy trails and a polished singletrack. They lived up to expectations, not only were they…

Pros
  • New to My Collection
Cons
  • Sad Equipment

Great trail running shoe

Great all round shoe, you need something to transition between easy trails and tarmac running and this is it. It cushions and holds the foot very well and the quick lacing is the system. I have to say I have found I have to tighten the laces more than you think when I start my run but it makes the shoe look nice and secure. In general, I definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Expandable

Very comfortable and beautiful Salamon shoes.

I've had three pairs of Speedcross 4s and loved them, but the toe box was very tight. The Sense Ride 2 fits more comfortably than the Speed Cross thanks to a larger toe box and softer material. I just received them and have been wearing them for a few hours. I will write later about how they survived.

Great sneakers that also look good in casual wear

Purchased for our Western Europe trip which includes lots of city walks, sightseeing and some fairly legal hikes in the Swiss Alps, this shoe excels on both counts . Traction was great when walking over slippery rocks near waterfalls, I never had foot problems when running 10+ miles a day, and the shoe also looked good in casual wear in urban and social settings.

Pros
  • Useful for more than the intended purpose
Cons
  • Appearance

My new sporty casual shoe

I use Speed Cross Salomon for trail running and other workouts but I liked the Salomon brand and wanted to find a shoe for nail work so I settled on this one shoe. Insanely comfortable, lightweight and durable, they can handle the rough stuff I have to go through. I'm sick of UA and want to work for a new shoe company and for me that would be Salomon.

Great men's shoes

I love these shoes. They look great and are very comfortable. They're great on the trails with great traction and support but comfortable enough that I use them as a daily shoe. Highly recommended; In fact, I bought a second pair.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others

Salomon very reliable

Very comfortable shoes for road and off-road. The stimulation system is really unbeatable. At first they creaked, but after a few days they eased up.

  • An absolute legend
