Samlex SAM 250 12 12 Volt 250 Watt Inverter Review

This product meets my needs perfectly and works great. I ordered one that worked straight away but couldn't get it to work after a few hours. The company immediately sent me a new one! Great purchase of an inverter at a good price!

Looks good. Very low standby power consumption. The fan remains off in standby mode and turns on when a load is applied. The fan is quite loud. Not recommended if you use it in a quiet environment for a long time. The fan noise will probably become annoying after a while.

It took me about 30 days to start using this Samlex SAM-250. It immediately blew a fuse (polarity confirmed correct), put in a new fuse and flashed an input voltage error and never worked (checked other power supplies). It's a block of junk and I threw my money away when I ordered it. Don't do it best, skip it! signed by a very experienced inverter user

Nice little device, rather unusual design as there is no way to physically screw it to anything. The lack of mounting flanges required some creativity. The design of the terminal blocks allowed the inverter to stand upright without obstructing the fan or knocking over or shorting the terminals on the case if it was metal. I received my second unit in the mail yesterday. Great inverters. I have tested almost every small portable solar generator inverter that I have developed for future sale. Every other inverter tested averaged half the advertised efficiency, most of them had low surge capacity, and some couldn't even handle the constant power they were supposed to have.
