My only complaint is the lack of pairing instructions, but I was able to find instructions by googling "pairing a replacement remote to a Samsung TV" , "I started having problems with the volume control. with the original remote control in 2016, about half a year ago. Apparently this is a general problem. The new one works.

Don't buy this. Samsung has big problems with the remote connection to the TV. The remote can't be paired with the TV and can't be fixed unless you're willing to spend countless hours fixing it and calling Samsung. The price of the remote control is too high for the frustration you have to go through to use it.

I lost my Samsung TV remote, gave it to my husband for Christmas and was in desperate need of a replacement. I found it easy and upon receipt all I had to do was put in the batteries and it worked straight away! I'm keeping a close eye on this as I don't want to pay another $60 if it gets lost, but I wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Voice commands are some of the best I've experienced with a remote control. The voice command also works after I've had 1 or 2 bottles of white wine and my words are slurred in my somewhat southern accent. I'm not the one who created this technology, but it nailed it. Not really a replacement for your Samsung Smart Remote, more like a replacement for that obnoxious dumb remote that inexplicably still comes with some TVs. The benefit of the simple remote control that comes with these TVs is that it's more ergonomic and not cluttered with buttons, making it easier to navigate. However, this is not a smart remote. This remote control works just as well as the original remote control and looks almost exactly the same. For me, the only noticeable difference is that the original had a glossy finish while this one has a matte finish. This is a minor difference though and I might even prefer a matte look.
