Update: This was my case when there were dead zones on the screen not responding to the stylus. The point was that it has magnets holding it closed and where the magnets lined up with the screen the S Pen didn't work. Our Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is a bit dated. The whole UI became too sluggish and basically unusable. I took this refurbished Galaxy Tab S4 and it worked great.
