Sharp ultra wide angle lens.

This lens is amazing! We spent a couple of nights photographing the stars! I bought it from BH. Not because of the price difference. Just because I knew for sure I was going to get a new lens from BH.

I'm in love with this lens

I'm in love with this lens! I'm a novice photographer so I may not have enough experience to say otherwise, but this lens is amazing. You can get very close to what you are photographing and capture everything! I did some editing with Photoshop Elements but it's pretty standard and I'm new to it too. Great depth with this lens! This lens is a must!

Great lens, just what I was looking for

Great lens, just what I was looking for. Distortions are to be expected in the wide angle, but to be honest they are not a problem. I've attached some photos I've already taken with it and I'm very happy with them and the lens, the build quality is great and the lens feels solid. I've included some landscape photos as well as a few shots of the main thing I photograph - snakes.

Pros
  • Lenses for SLR cameras
Cons
  • Some little things

A must for astrophotography.

I bought this lens primarily for astrophotography, I shoot with a cropped camera (Nikon D5200) and wanted to capture more of the Milky Way in one image than the standard 18mm widest angle lens. I bought this lens and am very happy with it so far. I haven't ventured into a dark place yet to try and get a good picture of the Milky Way and when I do I'll update this review. Since July 2014 I have only been doing photography and astrophotography with a DSLR. so I'm not a pro. And this review is…
