Compatibility issues, slow performance and Rockbox won't start

I had to do some research. uses a mini USB cable. I thought the wider buttons would be easier to use, and the microUSB port means I can use whatever cables I already have with my phone. What I didn't expect were some new firmware changes from Sandisk. and not for the better. Cons: -The contents of the SD card are no longer indexed with the contents of the internal memory, making this device a 4GB + 32GB player for me (not a 36GB player). No genre selection in the menu!

Let me get right to it. The software for this thing really sucks. Before you think I'm just another complainer read my reviews, I've rarely been this negative. First (and this is my biggest complaint), you can't search by genre. The genre category does not appear in the menu at all. The menu options are Shuffle, Artists, Albums, Songs, and then Playlists (which is a joke, as explained below). Second, there are 3 playlists (labeled GoLists 1, 2, and 3) and you need to add a song. on time for…

Great for the gym but not without some features

I have had two of these units and both have served me well. I recently switched to my phone and bluetooth speaker. This way I can leave my phone in the middle of the gym and go anywhere without worrying about carrying that device or the cords. However, before the switch, I only used this MP3 player!
