Awesome USB 3.0 card reader

I decided to upgrade to the USB 3.0 version of this USB 2.0 card reader because I was frustrated with how long it took Copy my files. This new reader has a much improved copy speed compared to my old reader. The general build quality is satisfactory and corresponds to the old version 2.0. It comes with the same stand that attaches to the base of the reader with magnets. Many people dislike the stand because they often have to remove the reader from the stand to insert or remove a card. Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Quickly! Qualitative! for card reader

I've had the USB2.0 version of this adapter for quite some time and when I finally switched to a computer with USB3.0 I didn't have a hard time purchasing this card reader. It is excellent for extracting images and videos from large SD cards quickly and easily. The button at the top can be programmed to launch specific programs with a single button press. It can hold all types of memory cards I've ever used. I've used this several times to flash new ROMs on Android phones with the microSD slot,

Very difficult to use without bending the pins

I love the look of this card reader as it looks elegant on my desk but to be honest it doesn't look good anymore. As is common with CF card readers, it is extremely difficult to insert a CF card into the slot without bending the pins. Now I have to keep a mini screwdriver on the table so I can bend the contacts so as not to damage the reader or card. It scares me a little every time I upload. Another issue is the magnetic stand - it holds the reader at a convenient angle, but isn't strongโ€ฆ

Do not buy this for many reasons

It stopped working once the return period expired. It looks like Sandisk is using cheap components for an expensive product. I can see that the pins in the SD card slot are misaligned and I can't open it to fix it without significantly damaging the glued case. The magnetic stand is a bad joke that should never have come with an expensive card reader; it just doesn't work in many ways. The stand doesn't hold it securely upright, nor does it allow you to insert or remove a card. The cable is tooโ€ฆ

Does everything it should!

I hesitated to buy it when I read other reviews that CF cards are not suitable. Not so. The cards and reader have a wide and narrow groove and lip on opposite sides. Adjust them and the reader holds the card securely, instantly transfers huge photo and video files from my 16" and 32" SanDisk cards and makes me happy. I cannot ask more of a product than it is intended to. Use it like a fine electronic device, don't hammer it in without checking first. Yes, it's tiny, compact, and expensive, just

Fast like "Lubricated Lightning "

I was looking for a device to read/write flash cards. I ordered a SanDisk ImageMate USB 3.0. I have an iMac and after reading the instructions I was told the Mac doesn't support USB 3.0 so I sent it back. Before being notified that Revain had received the returned ImageMate, I called Apple and asked them. Apple stated they are still looking for USB Reader/Writer 3.0 but it will work! A little slower than advertised, but it will work! So I ordered another SanDisk ImageMate USB 3.0 Flash Cardโ€ฆ
