This is my second Sanitaire. The other which is about 3 years old is used on a commercial cleaning account and was great. I am a carpet cleaner and this was bought to pre-vacuum carpets. Excellent vacuum cleaner for the price. I also have a SC899F with a 7 amp motor. This 5 amp vacuum is more than enough for all the carpets I've used it on (I clean carpets for a living). I took it apart, cleaned it and replaced the belt and it never worked like it did when it first started. Now he has chewed/burned 6 spare straps in a few months.
