Broke after a few months

After about 40 sessions the ankle holder broke - it's very dangerous to be in the sea without a board. No other line has snapped like this - be careful

Pros

Cons

Fasten it, tie it up and smash it!

I received a leash and immediately tied it to the board and then to the ankle. Continued to receive waves at Campus Point, Malibu and Rincon. It was my pleasure to "represent" a great self-service product. Your faithful rider.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • There are nuances

Leash was good delivery was bad

got it in the mail today. Everything is fine with the leash, except for the delivery. When I first ordered it all I got was an empty box. Not sure if this was Amazon's fault or Santa Barbara's surfing, but it was annoying either way. I got it again for free and got the leash this time.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I will add later

Swivels Won't Spin

This is the second trace Santa Barbara Surfing has sent me. At first a whorl would not spin. Both pivots do not rotate on the second. (You can make them turn with great power) This leash is very strong. It would be a great leader if they had working vortices. They don't seem to have any quality control before shipping. I returned it.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Some Cons

I would probably return it if I tested it more. Extremely strong, durable and well constructed. However, I think it's too bulky for a woman (5ft 4in, 115lbs, always slips off my arm). The connection between the cuff and the leash is also very large and stiff, so since it's on the forearm it always gets in the way.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • everything super

Looks different but works well

The cable doesn't look like the product photo, it's a fancy bronze color but a more neutral gray translucent hue which I like better. The rest conforms to the advertised good quality stainless steel swivels which have only been used once but appear to be quite strong. Finally it only comes in a plastic bag with no packaging unlike the pictures on the website so not so good as a gift but not a problem for the end user.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Very light longboard leash

So far, so good. I was looking for a lighter and less bulky leash for short days (in crowds when I need a leash). So far so good with that. It seems a lot lighter than most longboard leads I've had. Whether it's my leash on the big day, well, it doesn't matter because I'll be on the shortboard. So if you're looking for a slightly lighter LB lead (haven't found a comp lead yet) I'd say this lead seems a little less bulky than most.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Older model
