Well built for the most part. I was able to install the Sonos Play:1 speakers fairly easily. It would be nice if you could "lock" the lateral adjustments, but I doubt they'll move around the room much (maybe a little because of the bass). Outside there would be problems because the wind punishes the speakers. Overall quite well made and easy to assemble.

They work well and install fairly quickly for the Play: One's Set. It took about 20 minutes to understand the first one and 10 minutes to do the second. It's easy to adjust the corners, but there's no way to lock the corners in place, so an accidental bump could change the position of the mounts. There are many parts in the box and it took a few minutes to figure out which ones you need depending on the speaker model.

They look good put together. However, the "Sync" button on the back of the Sonos One is completely covered due to the design. This makes it impossible to press the button if you ever need to re-sync your speakers. I need to find a small knife and put it in a small slot to press this button. It's very poorly designed when using Sonos One speakers.

I was initially a little skeptical about how the perimeter brackets would look, but they attach well to the edge of the grate and look better than I expected. As others have noted, the majority of the mount is plastic along with the adjustment rail. I guess once it's in place I won't be messing with it. They force you to mount the speaker upside down if it's above eye level. I balked at first, thinking it would look weird, but the SONOS label reads the same thing upside down and gives you…

I did a lot of research before purchasing these wall brackets as I had a very clear idea of how I wanted my Sonos speakers to look on my wall. I wanted to be able to install it in a corner under the ceiling. Some other mounts would allow this, but you'd still see the mount, and it detracted from the Sonos One's sleek looks. Bought for ones (without attachment points) and they are very good. It looks like the designer took the time to really tailor them for Sonos, and it shows. They look clean and stylish and the packaging and instructions were professional. My only complaints are that they feel a bit overpriced and the plastic hinges aren't as strong as I'd like. Easy assembly and installation. With the Sonos One, however, the only metal element is the bracket that screws into the wall. It's very solid. However, the part that the speakers sit on is made of plastic. This means the speaker will wobble slightly when touched and won't sit entirely flush with the wall - the plastic pulls down and away from the speaker's weight.
