For the price, this coffee pot is not worth the money. I find this creates a mess every time as the seal between the bottom and the top is poor and the coffee spills all over the hob. If you are familiar with this type of coffee maker, this is excellent. The finish and style is excellent and it works great as a coffee maker (of this kind). It is a pleasure to use and every time I hand wash it carefully and put it on the stove because it looks so beautiful.
