Red heating pad with lightbulbs

I'm used to white heating pads, but red gives the feeling of a heating pad and reminds the user to use it for heating and not lighting. I have often used a white lamp for illumination and paid the price. The red Satco lamp is preferred!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Received 2 and one failed in 3 days. I bought a Phillip heat lamp from Home Depot to replace a broken one and found that the Philip lamp put out more heat than the remaining one. Maybe the Satco lamp is only 150-200 watts instead of 250 watts.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

The outer glass shell is very fragile. I screwed it into a heat lamp and the glass rod broke before it was fully seated. I didn't even have time to turn it on. I think I'll go to a hardware store to buy a lightbulb.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
