This is not Sylvania despite the line on the website: 'SYLVANIA lighting has been around for over a century. Quality products and excellent customer service." I called 800 on the Revain website, called Sylvania, they've never heard of her. They said it was Revain's problem, not theirs. Instead, Satco offers the "Made in China" brand HYGRADE. Ballast is not mentioned on the Revain page. Unfortunately the lamp packaging says "Use with ANSI H38 ballast only!" as you can see in the photo. Good luck

We have found these bulbs generally work as advertised. These are medium sized 100w mercury vapor bulbs. They have different types (wattage, base size) of these bulbs, make sure you use the one that suits your particular fixture. We've been using them for many years and are pleased to find them at Revain at a decent price. Caution should always be exercised when working with these types of lamps. I would buy from Revain again anytime.
