The shoes are tight. take wider.

Shoe fits the length but is much narrower than I expected. My daughter (4 years old) doesn't have wide feet but I ordered a size 10 after reading some of the other reviews. 10 wide is NOT wide at all and if anything it looks like regular width shoes. I can't imagine how narrow the regular width shoes are. The velcro on her boot does not close completely. I wish I had ordered extra wide for them but I wasn't keen on an exchange. Good shoes for a toddler with thick feet.

My son has chubby feet so many shoes leave marks on the top of the foot. We were lucky enough to get velcro shoes with double straps so we could easily undo the straps. However, our favorite shoe, the Stride Rites, has had a major overhaul in its shoe line this year, with all shoes now being too narrow (no more toe box). very narrow brand, XW needed but still too narrow

Review update: These shoes are not wide at all. On closer inspection and according to my 3 year old they are too tight around the foot unlike all her other shoes. move and develop properly. The shoes of this brand are very narrow. My 3 year old can't even fit in a normal size unless he's a half or a full size too big. She has better luck with the big sizes.
