🎨 Sax True Flow Heavy Body Acrylic Paint Set: Vibrant Assorted Colors – Set of 12 Pints (439304) Review

We bought these paints for a big art project at home with the kids. We have six canvases in the Format 36 x 48" painted on a stable frame. All colors cracked while drying. Also, two of my sons used them to paint their pine derby cars and the paint was cracking on them too. I'm no paint expert, so the mechanism for this cracking eludes me. Consistency - no! All the projects drawn were kept indoors all the time.

I spend painting evenings and thought that was a great thing. do not get me wrong. HOWEVER, this particular acrylic paint is probably more suitable for children, children's projects and not for actual use by artists. I'm only saying this because the pigment isn't very dark so took several layers and then didn't dry fast enough to layer the image properly. NOT suitable for a colorful party. Again great for kids, schools, kindergartens etc but not for real artist use.

Good acrylic paints for craft and student/hobby use. All colors were bright and saturated except yellow (chrome yellow) which was almost transparent. They blended well and I was able to make a very good selection. I would love to give these paints five stars but the problem is their sticky consistency. These acrylics are great. They are smooth and creamy, blend beautifully and have excellent coverage. There is nothing wrong with the color itself. The only complaint is that the seals were broken on 2 colors and the color leaked a bit in transit. It was packed in a double box with airbags so I'm not sure if it was due to our 100 degree heat or the rough handling during packing/delivery. When I bought these I needed acrylic paints for my class and that was all I could afford. Given my situation, they did their job. However, I would not buy it again! These paints dry to a matte finish (if that's what you like, but they don't hold up to dust and dirt and don't handle like regular acrylic paints!) again require some work, especially for a beginner.
