I bought this particular model in 2017 and have never had a problem with it. I rarely need to charge it, MAYBE once a month if not longer (I only use this product in the shower for about 15 minutes about 4 times a week). It doesn't take long to charge to 100% either. The biggest complaint is probably that the model I have 4 years ago doesn't "expire" if you don't play audio on it for a while. So if you forget to turn it off yourself, it just stays on. While it worked, it was great. It was placed in a place where it didn't even touch the water in the bathroom, and after about a month it stopped working. (I had 2 identical Soundbots and they both did the exact same thing.) The red light is supposed to come on to show when it's charging and it should stay red all the time while it's plugged in. Accusation. About a month later, the red light would come on for less than a second when plugged into the charger, then go off. So it won't charge.

What's the use of a shower speaker if you can't hear anything when the water is running? Right out of the box it needed to be charged and the user manual recommended it. Junk battery. I have bought both v1 and v2 of this product and both suffer from the same battery issue. I couldn't last more than a week (using only 7-10 minutes 5 days a week) before the v1 started beeping low battery. Problem is, there was no advance warning - after it started beeping about low battery, you only had about 5 minutes or so left. I really like this speaker as it's pretty darn easy to pair with my phone and the suction cup on the back is great for holding in the shower. However, I have a few small criticisms that have caused me to only give it 4 stars. First, if you use the buttons on the speaker and not the phone to skip to the next song, it seems to start after the first second or two. Songs.
