Description of Schefs Premium Tea Infuser Stainless

While other tea infusers constantly leak tea debris or have too few holes and break or rust after a few uses, the Schefs Premium Tea Infuser has precision laser etched holes, a twist lock lid, and will last longer than other brands on the market. This means a better cup of tea with fewer floaties and smoother flavor. Perfect for full leaf loose tea, most herbal teas, and even ground coffee. EASY TO USE - Simply fill and steep with hot water. Now you can replace your old tea bags and enjoy drinking fresh full flavored tea. EASY TO CLEAN - Simply dump and rinse - couldn't be easier. Other stainless steel, silicone and mesh tea balls strainers and infusers can be difficult to clean. Our loose tea infuser is designed to be easy to clean with just running water. LARGE CAPACITY - Large serving is perfect for letting your tea fully expand and breathe. Fill it up to one third or half way with your favorite tea for the perfect cup every time. You can even use it in a teapot or kettle to make more than one cup. The Schefs tea strainer works well with most leaf teas including green tea and some finer herbal teas. Reduces floaties and tea debris in your mug and unwanted leaves floating in your cup. No need to filter your tea. Works perfectly with both iced and hot tea. Even works with coffee.

Doesn't work for tea

I think it may work for coffee but the holes are too big for tea. I drink black tea, which isn't even very good, and I end up with a lot of phlegm.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Crumpled

Poor welds ruin what could have been a great brewer

The brewer basket works very well. The problem is that the welds holding the levers break so they don't stay making it pretty much useless. If they could fix the sweat problem I would give it 5 stars.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Junk Cheap Chinese Fake

Beware. A very poorly made product. The handle fell apart on first use. Pointlessly useless. The seller knows they are selling junk because the item is marked non-returnable. In other words, you buy their item, it falls apart and you must keep it as it cannot be returned. Dishonest from start to finish.

Pros
  • There's Something Inside
Cons
  • Crumpled

Bottom not securely attached

The bottom of the tea infuser has fallen off. It doesn't look like it was ever welded or crimped, just attached. You can (temporarily) reinsert it by sliding a tea infuser through the top, but be aware that the bottom edge of the tea infuser will be very sharp without the bottom attached. If you are not careful you can easily cut yourself if you handle the strainer without this part.

Pros
  • Great design

But works fine. for coffee, tea and espresso

Works great but as mine is just over 4 months old I can report that rust is appearing where the top ring attaches to the body. If the situation worsens, it must be removed. As others have reported, it is difficult to clean. It's a little easier if you pour the tea right after brewing, but it's hot! If it is allowed to drain and cool slightly, it will be more difficult to clean as some leaves will get stuck.

Pros
  • Durable test results

Not symmetrical but good

Nice little tea strainer for a normal small coffee cup. It's smaller than I thought it would be and doesn't reach the bottom of my coffee cups. I want both legs that sit on the rim to be the same length so the strainer is more central in the cup. The holes are quite small and I don't think my finely ground tea leaves will fall through. I suppose if you had a regular 6 ounce coffee mug it would be perfect, but my mugs are larger, 10-12 ounce mugs and they tip over easily. in liquid when hit.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

They changed the design a bit for the worse

Excellent tea strainers. Over the years I have bought several pieces for home and for friends. The last ones I ordered were smaller and had a flashy logo which I don't like. I am disappointed that the image does not match the large die cut logo. on a screen or a smaller new design. The new design is both shorter and narrower. If you're making loose leaf tea, that's great. I want the images shown to reflect the actual product. Tip: After frequent use, black tea has polluted my filters. If you…

Finally a quality tea infuser

I wanted a GOOD tea infuser but most are flimsy and poorly designed. I then decided that the best way to make two liters of good iced tea is to use loose tea in a glass brewing glass and then strain it straight into the fridge container. I had an inexpensive rectangular glass jar that didn't take up much space in the fridge, so I needed a good tea filter, and this Schefs tea filter fitted the opening perfectly. A warning to Brits and other tea snobs: stop reading immediately. I heat five cups…
