Without this item: a bunch of CDs and DVDs I've accumulated over 40 years, most of which I haven't heard of. With this product: I have yet to explore my entire collection, but the first CD I tried was great. This is Teresa James and The Rhythm Tramps Bonafide. I have many hearings ahead of me. There are many excellent DACs out there; I am delighted with this value for money. I'm happy with every aspect: packaging, shipping, features, performance, design. I had no idea a CD could sound so good…

Pros
  • Connect Modi 3+ to virtually any computer, streamer, CD player, phone, tablet or TV. WILL NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 7 OR EARLIER.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

A friend lent me his Schitt Modi 3, I set it up and after half an hour of listening to music I know well, I…

Pros
  • sample rate and bit depth: from 16/44.1 to 24/192 over USB, coaxial and optical channels.
Cons
  • Something else

I later found that the iFi ZenDAC had to excel in soundstage, depth and higher frequency reproduction. However, I have always been a fan of Schitt products. So I ordered a new Modi 3+ last month and found it to be an improvement, albeit a minor one. By "improving" I mean I just focused on the overall…
