Have used these glasses 10 times. I've washed them in the dishwasher two or three times, laid them out clean and tidy, leaving just enough space between them and everything else so they don't rattle and they're in perfect condition. These glasses are perfect for red and white. They keep the perfect volume and are a really nice Schott Zweisel look that I love. I've owned numerous Schott-Zweisel glasses in the past, each costing me over $15. Please note that like most SZ glasses, they are very delicate and thin. When they say "unbreakable" it doesn't mean they WON'T BREAK. Shatterproof means they won't break into millions of pieces. That means the glass breaks into manageable pieces instead of spreading throughout the house.

If you read reviews of wine glasses and talk about low reviews because glasses break easily, you most likely are an aspiring wine drinker. The thinner the glass, the better. There is a big difference in drinking wine from a thin glass profile compared to thicker glasses. That's why thicker glasses are cheaper. They have a beautiful appearance and are comfortable to hold, making them a good gift. I would add a note to the recipient that they EASILY break/break into pieces and splinters. I have had other brands of Tritan goggles from PB and Revain. There were no problems with breakdowns, but after 3-4 years of use and washing in the dishwasher (only the top shelf) signs of wear showed. ***UPDATE 11/24/19. I've had these glasses since February and love them as much as I did when I wrote the original review. None of them broke or broke with regular use, including a dishwasher. Can't recommend enough! I've been a loyal Riedel user for over a decade, but I'm tired of often having to replace them after they break.
