A Whole Year Flat Free

I'm an amateur racer in Virginia and I've been running Continental 4000s tires for 12 months without a flat tire. I've done about 1500 miles and the rear tire is pretty worn. I also love the stem of these tubes and this is my tube of choice now. I will soon mount new Conti Force/Attack combination tires and two new hoses.

Excellent pipe - reliable, well made, durable, interchangeable stems

I am very happy with these pipes. Their quality was even more evident when I had my first puncture (with over 3,000 miles). When you inflate the tube to find a leak, it maintains a permanently round shape, unlike most tubes that bulge out in random places, like a snake that has eaten but not yet digested. They also have replaceable valve stems that allow you to add sealant or replace the stem if the end of the stem snaps off (I've thrown away some good hoses because of broken stem ends).

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • communication with seller

Would not recommend these whistles

A friend highly recommended Schwalbe whistles. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience as him. One of the hoses deflates when inflated. The other tube does not fit into the rim and does not fit between the tire and the rim edge. This is where the Presta valve is located. Simply put, the tube is too big for the inner diameter of the rim (although it fits my rim). I'm glad I noticed this as pinching would certainly have occurred. I've had better luck with cheap Wal-Mart whistles than…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some bugs

I am happy. for sports

I am satisfied with these tubes. I've had punctures with these tubes, but if the lug is strong enough to go through your tire, it will likely puncture the tube as well. I've used them with my 28c tires and they work well with that size. I'm thinking of getting puncture proof tires next time and downsizing to a 25c tire. I like that they work with a wide range of tire widths. The valve length of 40 mm didn't bother me. There is just enough open valve to easily inflate these tubes without holding

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • can be retrofitted

Schwalbe 700X18/28 SV15 tube - 40mm Presta valve

I have a co-motion tandem with 700X28 tires and had to bring some spare tubes when we went to Yakima (lots of goat heads, multi- serrated spikes), so flats are a fact of life. So I ordered them to take with me on my trip. Here's what I liked: 1. Relatively speaking, they're well rated for the quality they offer. We used three of these on our trip (two front flats and one rear flat) on a 140-mile winery-to-winery drive. Fit perfectly and had no problems. 2. Lamps were easy to repair when needed.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Expensive

Great pipes when the valves are tight.

When I first installed these hoses, one lost over 30 pounds of pressure in one day and the other about 15 pounds. I thought one tube must be defective and was very disappointed with how the others worked. I removed the hoses from the bike and checked for leaks. I haven't found any. Eventually I gave up and decided to return them. I loosened the lock nut on a Presta-rated hose to deflate in preparation for repacking and felt the valve give out a bit. I didn't realize that these hoses have…
