Nice set, gloves could be improved

I bought this set for my son who is just learning to ride a bike. The elbow and knee pads are good and do their job well. When my son was learning to ride a bike and skate, he fell many times and the insoles definitely help prevent a lot of bruises and injuries. However, the gloves are useless. It's basically just fabric, so it offers a thin layer of fabric to protect against instant scratches if dropped, but there's no longer any padding. When you fall, the first reaction is to try to protect…

  • Sports and outdoor activities

So basically the whole set is useless. Should my son only ride a bike?

No quality control of knee and elbow pads. One of the knee pad straps was half the length of the rest of the knee pads and elbow pads. It's like a factory worker who walks to the end of a roll of rubber band and only has a lip left and realizes that the heck I'm going to save the company money by using this little piece of rubber band instead of throwing it away, even if it is too short. and I'll still sew it onto the kneecap. So this knee strap is so short my skinny 6 year old son can't wrap…

so they don't fit well on elbows

They seem cheap and "one size fits all", the knee and elbow pads are exactly the same shape and size so they don't fit over the elbows particularly well. The gloves are too big for my 4 year old boys (especially the youngest ones) so they are difficult to put on and fit every finger in its hole, and even more difficult to tighten on the wrist to keep them from slipping off. Descent. I think they will eventually grow into them and so I think they will fit better in the future. But we bought them

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Repair

The knee pads and elbow pads look well built, but there are two problems.

The knee pads and elbow pads look nice, but there are two problems - one is significant and the other is minor (and odd). First, minor: All pads are the same size. A distinction between knee pads and elbow pads is not possible. In the product image you can see that the pads on the right are slightly smaller and designed for the elbows. On closer inspection they are all the same. Now the main problem: the straps are too short. They barely fit around my little 3 year old's arms. They definitely…

I ordered this set of gloves and pads for my oldest grandson to keep him cycling and roller blading safely. I was really impressed how well all 3 pieces fit him and how easy it was to convince him to wear them. He likes sets so much that he plays them for no apparent reason. While waiting to receive it, I wondered if the pads would be labeled for the location they were intended for. There aren't any, but it's very easy to tell the difference based on the size. I ordered him a pair of kids…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
