I bought this item in January 2020, it is June 2020 and the engine is already dying. Either I caught a defect or they are poorly made.

ordered the product installed the first one and it made a loud clicking noise and it was useless. The seller sent me a replacement that worked 100%. I sent the first one back as it was defective.

Day one review, not long term. It was easy to install and works like a charm. I bought this for a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek XV; It worked well, although Revain doesn't recommend it for the 2016 Crosstrek.

Installed in my 2015 Subaru Impreza in 10 minutes and everything works great. At first the sound seemed loud but then the noise died down and now it works fine. It was a lot cheaper than going to the dealer or auto parts store. I would definitely buy again. The one in my car had worn brushes, so the fan motor would stop spinning whenever I hit a bump. If this purchase lasts more than 4 years I would say $40 was well spent.

My old fan died on my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV about 60,000 miles and 4 years for those who care. I have no idea why. I noticed that the old motor was getting very noisy and I ended up having to hammer it to get it running until it eventually got dusty. This new replacement has worked great over the last few cold winter months, I had to blow out the defroster. Fan installation and operation as shown. Installation on a 2015 Subaru Forester was super easy, just a couple of screwdrivers. Removal of the glove box and plastic trim is tool-free, but requires a second person to prevent spilling the contents of the glove box onto the floor. I think it could have been a little louder than the original that was in my 2016 Crosstrek. BUT IT WORKS! This is a direct replacement - almost identical to the OEM. There is even a counterweight (in the form of a metal clip) on one of the fan blades. Let's get back to volume: It works. Did I mention it?
