Causes damage when used

I'm not sure why I thought the wrench's finish really mattered, but it will ruin the finish of any powder coated surface it touches.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

Problem Tool Kit Wrench

The 36mm wrench was difficult to install over the 36mm steering column nut. I had to put a wrench in a vise and run a file over the hole several times before it fit. Maybe a ten dollar key is too cheap?

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • So-so

Works great - unbeatable price

Tolerances correct - fits great. I can't say anything about durability as I only put the headset on without breaking it. Although it worked fine. Of course you can pay more for the same tool, but I think that's ok.

Pros
  • Great overall specs
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Duck, Duck, Gooseneck

Stamped thin wrench for a narrow nut to secure the front fork of a bicycle. Much better than bulky channel locks or a hammer and screwdriver trick. I see you smile, it's done. Walked all over the place and couldn't believe how expensive they are compared to when I was young but couldn't find my old one and it's worth saving yourself the disappointment.

Working but not reliable

I needed this to tighten the headset on my son's bike. It worked well and to be honest you don't need a wrench like this very often unless you're a bike mechanic so I think it's normal that it's a stamped metal wrench and probably no longer than 20 applications holds. It looks like it's coated with something that makes it look like stainless steel, but it's not. Again, if you only need it for a few uses, that's fine and affordable.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
