Description of ๐Ÿ๏ธ ScorpionEXO Unisex-Adult Modular/Flip Up Adventure Touring Motorcycle Helmet (Anthracite, XX-Large) (EXO-AT950 Solid): Premium Safety & Comfort for Adventure Riders

The EXO-AT950 can be used as a full face ADV helmet with external peak visor attached, or the peak visor can be removed and you have an aerodynamic touring helmet. Scorpion's oversized eye port is extremely wide for greater peripheral vision and downward visibility, and the modular chin-bar can be conveniently flipped up when you stop to get gas or ask for directions. The internal drop down SpeedView sun visor and KwikWick II liner will keep you comfortable all day long even as lighting conditions change throughout the day. Additionally, the EverClear shield can be removed and you can use the EXO- AT950 as a dirt helmet with goggles for off-road use. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard.

I'm happy with it - Helmets

The helmet is very nice. The cheek pads are a bit tight at first. Don't take it out of the box and go. Long drive before it breaks

Pros
  • The Scorpion's oversized eyeport is extremely wide for better peripheral and downward vision, and the modular chin bar can be conveniently raised when you stop to refuel or ask for directions.
Cons
  • I'll write later

My absolute go! for protective gear

This is my helmet for every ride! hands down! That's convenient. The shape of the visor is "different" so I get a lot of compliments. The standard helmet came with a clear visor. I went ahead and bought the tinted one and loved it! I also order gold! If you discuss it. DO IT!

Pros
  • The EXO-AT950 can be used as an ADV full face helmet with the outer visor attached, or the visor can be removed to form an aerodynamic touring helmet.
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great helmet at a great price

As others have said, the cheek pads are initially tight, but wear off well. I love the versatility of having multiple helmet options when riding my bike in different conditions. I really appreciate the vents. The top vents are some of the best on an outdoor helmet I've tried.

Pros
  • DOT approved. FMVSS 218 Compliant
Cons
  • Obsolete

The cheek, when fully closed, is very narrow.

Prompt DeliveryPRO: No fogging after five hours of continuous driving in 60-70 degree rain at 40-70 mph. Can definitely feel the vents working. CONS: Not sure if the head visor protects from the sun. From the top vantage point, I can clearly see the tip flexing while riding. The cheek, when fully closed, is very narrow. Hoping the foam pad will soften with wear and tear.

Pros
  • In addition, the EverClear visor can be removed and you can use the EXO-AT950 as an off-road helmet with off-road goggles.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Nice helmet... not an eccentric?

In 2012 I bought an Italian Caberg double sport modular helmet. After 10 years, 5 of which I haven't ridden a bike, it's time for a new helmet. Scorpio was the top contender for the spot! Ordered, received, unpacked...and...was dissatisfied to find that the new 2022 helmet only comes with D-rings as a protection/tensioning mechanism. No mention in the description of the Revain, no hint of the quick release function etc. While the helmet itself is good, without a quick release it's no trip andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Inner fold-down SpeedView sunshade and KwikWick II liner provide all-day comfort, even when light conditions change throughout the day.
Cons
  • Expensive
