I like it and bought it for my company car. There wasn't a lot of places to put my phone and that allows me to use a lot of places. It's good overall, but slips a bit on a heavier phone at times. I wish I had a set screw to lock them in place once I've reached the desired position.

There is a color description. out. Space gray is actually matte black. I wonder where the gray color comes from? Also, it's great for lighter phones. Larger phones like the Note 9 have trouble holding their position and can fall over, especially when going over sharp bumps or potholes. I have one that has magnets on both ends.

It works fine with my iPhone 12 Pro Max but this mount doesn't work well with a heavy phone like mine. The hand MUST be pointing down, otherwise the phone will swing down due to the weight. If I had known that, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Cool idea, it would be better if you could somehow lock the swivel balls in place.

Nice design but the friction in one of the ball joints is too low and therefore it does not hold its position when loaded. It could work with a really tiny phone that weighs next to nothing. Cheapness comes at a price, and that price is that it's not good enough for real use! Trying to use it is just frustrating. GRRRRR!

I use it to record myself at the gym. I would NOT use it in the car. The hinges aren't strong enough to hold the phone upright and the phone slips from time to time (this is because I have a slightly lowered back plate on the back of the phone which makes the top of the phone heavy; this leads cause the phone to slide down/rotate while the magnet tries to center itself on the metal plate). The ball joints are nice and stiff, the magnets are too weak to keep the base connected when trying to reposition my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9+) while it was attached. Checked on a metal door. The 3m adhesive should be much better, I just stuck it on the dashboard like that, if I ever sell my car the next owner will have the magnet installed. When they get hot in a closed car, the hinges will NOT hold their position and will slide down under the weight of the phone until the air conditioning cools them. Because they have magnets on both sides, they can come loose with the phone if you try to remove just the phone.
