🚗 Scosche SCN2059B: 2005-10 Scion TC Double DIN Dash Kit with Elimination of Flip-up Door Review

The narrow part of the fairing arrived broken. Still works but opening the broken piece was a bummer. I would buy it again just because you don't see the part once installed and it's one of the few that fits this car. Works perfectly. Metal brackets are difficult to install. Needs some adjustments to get a good fit.

I like the look of this bracket over the original 2007 Scion TC door. I was expecting the Pioneer DMH 2660NEX to sit flush with the dash but the hole isn't big enough so it's recessed about a quarter of an inch. That makes it a bit tricky to access the buttons on the left side of the stereo, but for the most part the controls on the steering wheel are used to adjust the volume. The thin piece of plastic at the bottom didn't break, but I treated it like grandma's china.

This kit goes very well with my Kenwood DDX. The brackets screw directly into the original slots and the screen of my double din module is flush with the center console. You'll have to remove the garage door from the console to install it, but it's a very simple process. The only issues I had with this kit was using it with a head unit with a tilt screen or a unit with a CD slot behind the screen. If you have one of these devices you will need to modify this kit to get full functionality.
