🔧 Scosche ST2430B Black Dash Kit: Perfectly Compatible with 2008-10 Smart Fortwo Passion/Pure ISO Double DIN & DIN+Pocket Review

Scosche Dashboard Kit for my daughter's 2004 GTO fit and worked perfectly with her system. We had to play with the back of the DIN slot by removing the back panel but the product was great.

Fits great and looks great. I had to do a bit of tinkering with the head unit itself in order to fit it perfectly into the housing. However, that's probably the case with any GTO dashboard kit. Even if it turned out great in the end.

Scosche looks quite decent. As others have said the finish is good, the color is a bit off. I had trouble trying to install the Pioneer AVH-P3300BT as flush as possible with the fairing. HU was too engrossed. When I tried to adjust the fit, the tabs on the bezel came loose and two of them broke off. Not a happy camper that I have to buy another set. If you buy this, be careful.

The faceplate is very close to the shape, color and finish of my 06. The plastic side brackets are slightly wider with the mounting screws provided and the factory metal radio grille had to be spaced a bit. putting in my new Pioneer head, but it's no big deal. No back support is provided but I simply added a washer to the underside of the metal frame at the back to hold the radio in place. The finished installation is very reliable and looks great.

This instrument kit looks very nice! Much better looking than the alternative Metra I was given by the store where I bought my stereo. It looks very "standard" which is good! I'm only removing the star because it doesn't seem like there's an easy way to remove the bezel. Not a big deal in the short term, just means replacing the stereo in the future will require disassembling the dash again. To determine the orientation of the stereo (as a beginner) I really had to see the stereo with the bezel

I've just been playing around with this kit for over an hour and I'm not done yet. The faceplate looks good, much better than the Metra, but it doesn't fit perfectly in its opening, not a very important issue. I have trouble with cheap flimsy plastic radio mounts. They had to be made of sheet metal to securely hold the double DIN head unit. I modeled everything and adjusted 3 times, when everything is tightened the head unit is just flimsy and moves slightly.
