This is a beautiful and simple glass vase with a wooden rim on top. Mine arrived in good condition, no breakage, no glue marks and the tree is securely attached. It says it doesn't stand up to scrutiny, but there is a picture of water in it on the description page that caught my eye. In principle you can start the stems with a little water, but I wouldn't go all the way because of the way the tip is made.
