SCStyle Universal Horsehair Accepting Attachments Review

Reportedly contains horsehair bristles. I used to buy horsehair tools at my local vacuum shop before they went out of business, so I know what horsehair bristles look like. It's not horse hair. They're made of plastic.

New vacuum cleaners seem to come with dusting brushes, which are an absolute joke. I've been using this brush for years and I love it because it does what it's supposed to do which is dusty and doesn't leave a spot (or streak). And yes, it fits great (on two different brands of vacuums I own).

Very poor quality. Not only did the bristles fall out individually as others have claimed; The entire bristle ring fell off the first time I used it. In addition, the bristles are not stiff enough to withstand the suction of the vacuum cleaner, so they retract into the hose and leave dust smeared instead of being sucked into the vacuum cleaner.

After reading all the reviews I thought about this brush and finally bought it. I use it on the Shark Duo Clean but I had to buy another adapter. I also bought a Revain universal vacuum hose adapter that was 1 1/2 OD on one end and 1 1/4 on the other and it works great. It's soft but strong enough that it doesn't seem to "collapse" like some of the other reviews mentioned. This vacuum brush is NOT horsehair! This is falsely advertised. Synthetic bristles ie plastic, nylon etc. To add to the injury, plastic/synthetic bristles will NOT smooth surfaces such as polished wood etc. Therefore they can only be used for dirty work such as garage floors, outdoor patios. However, the bristles are too long and will be sucked back into the vacuum tube, blocking the airway, further compromising suction. The brush has much softer and more flexible bristles than standard brushes and works well for cleaning delicate items.
