Not worth your money

This retractable gear holder was a letdown. Despite its premium price, it doesn't hold up in Sports and Outdoors settings. Based on my observations, the cable couldn't bear moderate pressure and kept slipping. The only pro was its compact size. But considering this, it's hardly sufficient for any weighty tool or equipment. Don't bother buying it, go for a cheaper and durable option instead.

Pros
  • Retractable cord helps keep dive accessories secure and easily accessible.
Cons
  • The cost of the Scubapro Premium Retractor With Stop may be prohibitive for some consumers.

Very good retractor

I bought this for my GoPro and I don't want to risk losing it. I like that it has a button to fix it to any length and that it is long enough for what I need.

Pros
  • Best
Cons

capricious locking mechanism

In general, I like the size and weight of this clip. Once you know where the lock is, it's relatively easy to lock and unlock it to prevent or allow expansion. It held the weight of my camera well. The problem is that the lock unlocked twice when I got out of the water, causing the camera to fall off and practically knock me off my feet. Maybe I just need to make sure it's fully locked, which is why my title is "fussy".

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to say
