Sticky Marshmallow Mess

Short run before it gets too soft to work with. I just keep putting it in the freezer so it hardens enough to be shaped. I am really disappointed. I was hoping because I have arthritis that my hands would want to work with it. It's good for hands but not for crafting.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Strong enough for simple art!

I took a chance on making a pizza sculpture. Polyclay is becoming scarce and expensive on Amazon! So I decided to try other types of Polyglue. I was amazed at what I could do with this clay. I don't know yet how durable the work with this polyclay is. But for simple details it seems to work fine. Check out the photos. I applied acrylic paint and glaze to the surface.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Some problems

Great product but too sticky

Great product but too sticky. I had to leach it out onto about 10 sheets of paper for several weeks before it could be used. Not sure why this is happening. Never had any problems when it came in large packages. Very disappointing Polyform products - what happened? But the great thing is that you can buy a subscription and save. I wish you could include the Premo in the S&S in black and white too. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Style 90

Softer than plasticine

This is exactly what I needed! I needed very soft clay to sculpt the handprints my family made out of cement at my childhood home. It was very easy to use and because it is so soft it filled the entire shape of the handprints very easily. I used cement cooking spray before applying the clay to make it even easier to remove (because the clay is so soft it stretches slightly when you tear it off). Works like a charm and cures well. I have some left and my 3 year old really enjoyed playing with it

Pros
  • Perfect for cosplay, art, paper crafts, bead core making and souvenir handprints!
Cons
  • not reliable

Sticky, pretty strong - perfect for texture sheets!

I have been making Premo keyrings and jewelry for about 2 years and bought Ultralight for a costume project that needed to be larger (hence heavier). It's MUCH softer than the Premo and takes a little getting used to. It's very sticky and my hands were covered in it after indulging in the whole bag (the sugar scrub removed it really well). I have used cornstarch to coat my hands and the roller during use and it has helped. I ended up making some texture "stamps" about 1cm thick and baked themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Light Clay - so light it can float!
Cons
  • Not sure

So NOT disappointed! ๐Ÿ˜

I've wanted to work with this particular clay for over a year. After showing my interest and learning how to work with clay, I started watching Ace of Clay on YouTube for many years; as well as other equally talented sculptors. In the past they all used wire reinforcement (12-16 gauge floral wire), very fine beading wire, masking tape, and aluminum foil for stuffing. With the same products I still haven't learned how to get such a smooth finish despite using a plasticizer/fingerprint oil; Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stays functional until baked - Does not air dry. Remains malleable and flexible until baked in your home oven - no oven required. Save the extra sound for later use.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
